Starting in 2021, Chinese Journal of Thoracic Surgery (CJTS) will be launching a new regular feature in each issue entitled “International Thoracic Surgery Column” and establishing the international editorial board. The aim of these new arrangements is to show the status of Thoracic Surgery around the world.

Chinese Journal of Thoracic Surgery (ISSN 2095-8773; CN 11-9357/R; CJTS; www.thecjts.cn), under the auspices of the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, was founded in 2014 with the Chinese Medical Association as sponsor and the Shanghai Chest Hospital as the undertaking sponsor. The journal is published quarterly in both print and online formats with papers covering all aspects of thoracic surgery. Since April 2021, CJTS has established the international editorial board whose main role is to supervise the content of the “International Thoracic Surgery Column”.
